Movies

There are all kinds of movies that touch you in different ways, however as time passes you sort of get them out of your head. And when later somebody brings it up you'll say "ah it's a good movie.." and that will be it. Some movies however are so strong, so shocking in a way, that will keep you thinking about them from time to time. When you go to sleep you will rewind a part of it in your head and reflect on it. Sometimes you will start thinking about them and will discover new things for yourself that you didn't notice in the first place. Those kind of movies are equivalent to "100 years of solitude" and similar books - books that can't really be turned into a movie. The same way these movies would lose a lot were they turned into a book. Yes! we always say that the book is better than movie but the opposite happens as well.

That kind of movies become a part of you, open up new point of views and new horizons, influence the way you percept the world... I sometimes imagine that I have a treasure chest in my head where i put those movies and other keepers... And there isn't that much stuff in it - because only the best of the best remains there.

So what are the movies? It's "The color of pommegranates" by S. Parajanov, it's "Mulholland dr." by Lynch, "The Wall" by Roger Waters, "The butterfly effect", "Amarcord" by Fellini, etc. One can watch these over and over again.

I just watched "The wall" that's part of the reason why i'm writing about this :)
_____

i stopped right there as me and Michael had to go to Dolbey corporative party-event-outing. that's a different post, i just didn't get to finish what i was saying...

i think i'm going to make a photo for each of that film. it's an idea right now... also i want to make photos on my favorite songs, books etc... i don't think i'm the first one to come up with this but oh well :)
